My journey as a community advocate began early in life, fuelled by a profound commitment to social justice and representation. During my time at Holroyd High School, where I served as a member of the Student Representative Council (SRC), I discovered the power of advocacy and leadership. This role provided me with invaluable experience in representing my peers, igniting my dedication to voicing the rights and needs of students from diverse backgrounds.
Recognising my potential as a leader, Holroyd High School nominated me as the NSW Department of Education’s Southwestern Sydney Regional Youth Ambassador for Public Education. This prestigious opportunity allowed me to expand my influence, advocating for improved educational opportunities and engaging with students, educators, and community leaders to ensure public education remained a viable pathway to success.
With over 15 years of volunteer experience, I have actively contributed to various community groups, enhancing my understanding of the unique needs within Australian society. From supporting immigrant families to advocating for youth empowerment and promoting cultural inclusivity, my work has made a lasting impact. My involvement in various boards has enabled me to shape community initiatives, foster dialogue among diverse groups, and cultivate a greater sense of unity and collaboration.
